Your organization, modeled as a Community.

A Community is the root organizational unit in Locality. It provides the foundation for an organization to structure its people, roles, decisions, services and economy.

Teams and Sub-teams create more specific functional scopes within the organization. Each scope can operate with its own members, roles, governance and services.

Every Community has its own Community Token, and its own account pays the network fees for its members' actions.

Start a Community in four steps

Step 1

Create it

Choose its name and its own Community Token. You start as its owner.

Step 2

Add Teams

Structure it in Teams and Sub-teams, each with its own members, roles and services.

Step 3

Bring people in

Invite people with a link, or review the requests of those who ask to join.

Step 4

Give roles

Decide what each person can do in each scope, and change it whenever the organization does.

Two ways in

By invitation

A manager creates an invitation link with the role already chosen, and can limit how many times it is used and when it expires.

By request

A person asks to join, with a message and, if they want, the role they would like. Managers approve it, or decline it and can say why.
